Hey all you fellow watchers and deviants

The S.A lycanthrope reporting in... and have I got a story tell... might be a long one, please don't fall asleep, complementary pillows are under your seats if this does indeed happen

.
I've been to the police station in Kempton Park today to apply for a license to possess a firearm, reason being that I'm inheriting 2 of my granddad's antique guns and it had to be done before next month.
With the usual case that I'm sure ALL South Africans are very familiar with is that a South African police station is a place to avoid, ESPECIALLY when applying for a gun license, reason being that the police treat you like an underling... the whole "the client is always right" way of thinking is of no concern to the police, which is kinda rude, y'know?
Simply put, the service really sucks. I arrived there a bit over 7:00 am, the queue wasn't very long (which was pretty unusual) but I only got into the firearms licensing office at about 11:00 am! I understand that they have an extremely frustrating job to do, but I mean come on!
To make matters worse there was a set of "Temporary Authorization" papers that had to be filled out by my granddad and they needed his left index fingerprint. The problem though is that he is 85 years old, struggles to walk and has a mild form of Alzheimers, making it unable for him to be present. So my mom had to drive back home to get the papers done while I sat and completed my competency form at the station, which I finished off shortly after.
Since I had to wait for my mom to return with the papers, I walked to the nearest place resembling a restaurant or a takeaway for I haven't had something to eat all day. Regrettably there was only a McDonald's.
After trying to get the food down I decided to wait a little while before heading back to the police station. Unexpectedly a woman, presumably in her 40's which I noticed coming in a little earlier, walked up to me and handed me a serviette and said: "God told me to give you this scripture" then walked away. Dazed, I opened up the serviette and a passage was written on it from Jeremiah 29:11:
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
I was utterly speechless, Never has something like this happened to me before. All the frustration of having no job, negativity and hopelessness plus all the incompetent police issues which I went through this morning was replaced by something much more significant and hopeful, and I felt uplifted. It is moments like these that makes life worth living, knowing that God has a plan for all of us and that He's out there watching over us, every moment of our lives.
Whether you believe in God or not, know that he will always love each and every one of you, until the end of existence, forever and ever.
I apologize for the extremely long journal post, I think this one takes the record for being my longest journal entry thus far, but I just felt that I'd give all of y'all a message of hope much the same way I got it this morning.
So until next time...
Rock out and God bless!

~Ben
